Blue Earth Healing and Reconciliation. A Living Reiki Practice for Planet Earth and All Its Inhabitants

By Chiara Corte and Ray Brockotter
At the heart of Blue Earth Healing and Reconciliation is one simple intention:
“I direct this energy (of Reiki) to heal and reconcile Planet Earth and all its inhabitants.”
These words were shared by Reiki Master Marta Getty with her student Chiara Corte and became the foundation of a living Reiki practice that Chiara continues today.
Within Earth Peace Reiki and RayChiCALLS™️, these words have also opened a deeper inquiry:
· What does it mean to heal Planet Earth when we ourselves are inhabitants of the Earth?
· What does reconciliation mean when humanity is not separate from the living world with which we seek reconciliation?
And what happens when Reiki practice moves from an experience of separation toward the realization:
We are individuals, but we are not separate.
This is where the living practice of Blue Earth and the developing vision of Earth Peace Reiki meet.
1. The Living Source: Marta Getty and Chiara Corte
For Chiara, Marta Getty is not merely a name from Reiki history.
Marta was her Reiki Master and teacher, and their relationship extended far beyond Reiki classes and seminars.
For approximately seven years, Marta lived with Chiara in Chiara’s home. During these years, Reiki became part of everyday life. Teaching did not take place only in formal settings. There were conversations, shared experiences, ordinary moments, silence and Reiki practice.
Much of what Marta shared with Chiara was transmitted orally.
Her experiences, her understanding of Reiki and her practices were communicated personally rather than through written manuals.
Among what Chiara received was the practice expressed through the intention:
“I direct this energy (of Reiki) to heal and reconcile Planet Earth and all its inhabitants.”
For Chiara, Blue Earth is therefore not an idea encountered later in a book or online.
It is a practice personally received through relationship with her Reiki Master.
A teacher shares something with a student. The student receives it, lives with it and practices it. And one day, the student shares it with others. Circumstances change.
Generations change. The world changes. But the essence can remain alive.
Today, Chiara continues to share this practice through Reiki Home.
2. The Earth Needs Peace Now
Every second Monday of the month, Reiki practitioners from different places come together online through Reiki Home for approximately 45 minutes.
The Peace Upon the Blue Earth Circle is intuitively guided by Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Master Chiara Corte.
There are no elaborate ritual and no fixed meditation script.
The meditation unfolds intuitively in the moment, while Marta’s essential intention remains at its heart.
Each gathering begins from a simple recognition:
“The Earth needs peace now. We can do something. We can heal the Earth with Reiki now and create reconciliation and peace for all the inhabitants upon the Earth and within our heart.”
We also remember the source of the practice:
“We thank Marta Getty for her deep intuition of our necessities and for creating this practice.”
Then we practice Reiki. This simplicity matters. Blue Earth is not intended as a political statement. It does not attempt to determine how a war should end, how governments should act, which side should prevail, or what another person, community or nation should become.
We do not presume to know what Reiki should accomplish.
Instead, we enter Reiki while holding the intention:
“I direct this energy (of Reiki) to heal and reconcile Planet Earth and all its inhabitants.”
The intention gives direction to the practice without determining its outcome.
3. From Blue Earth to Earth Peace Reiki
Over time, the Blue Earth practice invites a profound question.
When we say: “Planet Earth and all its inhabitants,”
where are we, the practitioners, in that sentence?
The answer is simple but significant:
We are included.
The practitioner is not standing outside Planet Earth, sending Reiki toward a damaged world somewhere out there.
We too are inhabitants.
We breathe Earth’s atmosphere.
We drink her water.
We eat food arising from her living systems.
The minerals of the Earth are present within our bodies.
Our lives are dependent upon countless relationships with plants, animals, microorganisms, ecosystems and other human beings.
Earth Peace Reiki therefore begins with a realization that is both ecological and spiritual:
We are individuals, but we are not separate.
Human beings, other forms of life and Planet Earth do not exist as completely isolated entities.
We are distinct expressions within a deeply interconnected living reality.
From this perspective, Blue Earth becomes more than the act of sending Reiki to the Earth.
It becomes an invitation to transform our relationship with the Earth.
4. From Separation to Conscious Unity
Human beings necessarily develop individuality.
A child gradually discovers:
This is me — that is you. This is my body — that is the world. This is my desire — that is your desire.
This differentiation is healthy and necessary.
Without it, there can be no authentic choice, responsibility, boundaries or genuine relationship. The difficulty begins when distinction becomes interpreted as absolute separation.
Then: “I am myself”
can gradually become: “I am on my own.”
And humanity's relationship with the Earth can undergo a similar transformation.
Earth becomes something outside us:
an environment to use,
a resource to exploit,
a territory to possess,
a system to manage,
or even something separate that humanity must now rescue.
Earth Peace Reiki proposes another understanding:
Planet Earth is not something outside of us. We participate in her life.
Every breath, every glass of water, every meal and every cell of our body bears witness to relationship.
Spiritually, the insight goes further:
We became individuals, but we never truly became separate from the Whole.
Within RayChiCALLS™️, we call the conscious realization of this Conscious Unity.
Conscious Unity does not mean dissolving individuality.
It means discovering that two truths can coexist: I am fully myself.
and: I belong to the Whole.
Difference remains.
Relationship remains.
Individuality remains.
But absolute separation no longer has to define our experience.
Conscious Unity does not erase difference. It frees difference from separation.
5. Earth Peace Begins Within
When humanity thinks about peace on Earth, attention understandably moves outward.
Wars must stop.
Violence must end.
Governments must change.
Nature must be protected.
Injustice must be confronted.
These actions may indeed be necessary.
Earth Peace Reiki does not suggest replacing ecological, humanitarian, political or social action with meditation. Instead, it asks a question that precedes action:
From what inner ground do I meet the world?
If we try to create peace while acting entirely from fear, hatred, anger, helplessness or enemy-thinking, we may reproduce some of the very dynamics we hope to transform.
This is why the journey begins close to home.
It begins with Reiki.
It begins with ourselves.
Not because the world's problems are merely personal problems. But because:
The quality of our presence influences the quality of our action.
The first movement becomes:
Reiki → Healing → Peace
Reiki supports presence.
Healing creates the possibility of no longer reacting automatically from the wound.
Peace creates a space in which nothing immediately needs to happen.
And within that space, Awareness becomes possible.
6. Why Healing and Reconciliation?
The presence of both healing and reconciliation in Marta Getty's intention is particularly significant.
She did not say only: heal Planet Earth.
The intention is: heal and reconcile.
Healing begins close to home.
Through Reiki practice, we can return to ourselves and become present with what is here.
Reconciliation introduces another dimension: relationship.
We exist in relationship with ourselves, with other people, with communities, nations, other species and Planet Earth.
Reconciliation does not necessarily mean agreement.
It does not necessarily mean forgiveness.
It does not necessarily mean reunion.
It does not require differences to disappear.
Reconciliation can mean:
Meeting anew.
This is why the words “within our heart” have become important within the Blue Earth meditation.
Peace is not simply something we ask to happen somewhere else.
We ourselves are part of the world for which we practice.
7. Peace Is a Space, Not an Endpoint
Within Earth Peace Reiki, Peace is essential, but it is not the final destination.
The movement can be understood as:
Healing → Peace → Awareness → Reconciliation → Conscious Unity
Peace creates the space between automatic reaction and conscious relationship.
Within that space we can begin asking:
What is happening?
What belongs to me?
What belongs to you?
What has arisen between us?
What does this situation genuinely ask of me?
Reconciliation begins when we become free enough to meet what is here without determining beforehand what the outcome must be.
This principle is essential.
Reiki does not tell us that we must forgive.
Reiki does not tell us that we must return.
Reiki does not tell us that we must leave.
Reiki does not decide which political position to take.
Reiki does not determine what reconciliation must look like.
Rather:
Reiki supports presence.Awareness reveals.I choose.
8. Reconciliation with Planet Earth
Seen from this perspective, the ecological crisis is not only a technological, political or economic problem.
It is also a crisis of relationship.
When humanity experiences itself as fundamentally separate from nature, Earth can easily be reduced to: resource, property, territory, commodity and production capacity.
Reconciliation changes the question.
Instead of asking only: What can Earth give us?
we begin asking: What is our relationship with Earth?
And eventually: Can we remember that we belong to the life we are trying to protect?
Ecological responsibility then becomes more than management.
It becomes relationship.
I do not care for a tree only because trees absorb carbon dioxide.
The tree has its own existence and place within the living world.
The tree remains a tree.
I remain human.
Difference remains.
Yet we both participate within the same living Earth.
This is Conscious Unity:
not sameness, but relationship without the illusion of absolute separation.
9. The Deeper Meaning of Marta Getty's Intention
From this perspective, Marta's words acquire another dimension:
“I direct this energy (of Reiki) to heal and reconcile Planet Earth and all its inhabitants.”
The practitioner is included within the intention.
This changes I heal the Earth
into We participate in Healing.
It changes I bring Peace to Earth
Into I become available for Peace within the living Whole to which I already belong.
And it changes the position of the Reiki practitioner.
The practitioner is not the savior of Planet Earth.
The practitioner is a participant.
We participate in what we seek to heal.
We participate in the relationships we seek to reconcile.
And we ourselves are among the inhabitants for whom the intention is held.
10. Forty-Five Minutes Together
Every second Monday of the month, participants gather for approximately 45 minutes.
Chiara guides the Blue Earth meditation intuitively.
Participants enter into Reiki, meditation and Silence while Planet Earth and all its inhabitants are brought into awareness.
People may be physically separated.
They may live in different countries.
They may speak different languages.
They may come from different cultures, religions and Reiki traditions.
They may even understand Reiki differently.
Yet for approximately 45 minutes they consciously practice together.
Technology merely provides the meeting place.
The essence is Reiki.
The essence is shared practice.
The essence is the willingness to stop and consciously include our common home and all its inhabitants within our Reiki practice.
There are no promises about what these 45 minutes will change in the world.
We do not claim to be able to measure such an effect.
What we do know is what actually takes place:
people consciously make time for Reiki,
for Planet Earth,
for Healing,
for Peace,
and for Reconciliation.
When we witness suffering in the world, helplessness can easily arise.
Blue Earth offers one way of responding through the practice already in our hands.
We can practice Reiki.
11. Collective Reiki as an Experience of Conscious Unity
There is another dimension to practicing together.
Imagine people in different places around the world.
Different countries.
Different histories.
Different cultures.
Different religions.
Different political perspectives.
Different Reiki traditions.
Their differences do not disappear when the meditation begins.
Nor should they.
Every participant remains an individual.
Yet they consciously enter Silence with one shared intention:
Healing. Peace. Reconciliation.
For a short period, something simple becomes visible:
Many individuals.One intention.One Planet.One living Whole.
Collective Reiki meditation can therefore become a practical experience of Conscious Unity.
Unity is not achieved by making everyone identical.
Unity becomes visible while diversity remains.
12. One Blue Earth
The image of Earth seen from space has become familiar to humanity:
one blue planet.
From that perspective, the borders that dominate our maps and sometimes our consciousness cannot be seen.
Blue Earth does not ask us to deny those differences.
Every participant has a particular nationality, culture, history, identity and place.
But individuality and connectedness can exist simultaneously.
This gives special meaning to the final words of Marta Getty's intention: “all its inhabitants.”
The word all matters. Humanity is included. But humanity does not stand alone.
Animals.
Plants.
Forests.
Oceans.
And the wider community of life with which we share this planet are included within our awareness.
Earth is no longer merely the background against which human life takes place.
We begin recognizing ourselves as participants within a much greater living Whole.
13. From Silence to Action
Blue Earth does not need to end when the meditation ends. If it did, Peace could remain only an inner experience. Earth Peace Reiki therefore proposes another movement:
Silence → Awareness → Choice → Relationship → Action
After Silence comes the question:
Now that I can see more clearly, how do I choose to meet the world?
There is no predetermined answer.
For one person it may mean consuming less.
For another, listening to someone they normally oppose.
It may mean caring for an animal.
Planting a tree.
Supporting a community.
Volunteering.
Restoring a relationship.
Setting a healthy boundary.
Protecting an ecosystem.
Speaking against injustice.
Participating in humanitarian work.
Or simply bringing greater awareness into everyday relationships.
Reiki does not determine the action beforehand.
Again:
Reiki supports presence.Awareness reveals.I choose.
In this way, Silence does not become withdrawal from the world.
It can become the ground from which we return to the world differently.
14. The Journey of Earth Peace Reiki
The deeper movement can be expressed as:
SeparationI experience myself as separate.
↓
SufferingI become afraid because I believe I stand alone.
↓
ReikiI return to presence.
↓
HealingI don't have to react.
↓
PeaceNothing needs to happen right now.
↓
AwarenessNow I can see.
↓
ReconciliationI can meet myself, you, life and Earth anew.
↓
Conscious UnityI am an individual, but I was never separate.
The larger human journey might therefore be expressed as:
Unity → Individuation → Experience of Separation → Suffering → Awareness → Remembrance → Reconciliation → Conscious Unity
We do not return to unconscious Unity. We move forward into Conscious Unity.
That distinction is crucial. The purpose is not to dissolve the individual back into the Whole. It is to become fully individual while recognizing that individuality never required absolute separation.
15. Blue Earth Within Reiki Home
The Peace Upon the Blue Earth Circle takes place within Reiki Home, an international space where Reiki practitioners can meet for practice, meditation, learning and connection.
The word Home carries a special resonance here.
Home can mean the house in which we live.
Home can mean the inner experience of belonging.
And beyond both lies the home shared by human beings, animals, plants and countless other forms of life:
Planet Earth.
Whatever our nationality, language, culture, religion or Reiki tradition, we share this one home.
Once a month, Blue Earth invites us to consciously remember it.
16. Keeping the Practice Alive
When Chiara guides Blue Earth today, she does not attempt to recreate the past.
She brings what she received from Marta into the present.
The meditation remains intuitive and alive, while Marta's essential intention remains at its center:
“I direct this energy (of Reiki) to heal and reconcile Planet Earth and all its inhabitants.”
This is why Marta is remembered during each gathering. Gratitude connects the present practice with the person who passed it on. It reminds us that Reiki did not begin with us.
What we practice today has reached us through people who practiced before us, who taught us and who were willing to share what they had received.
For Chiara, one of those people was Marta Getty. And so the circle continues.
Every second Monday of the month, people arrive.
We become quiet.
We practice Reiki.
We bring Planet Earth and all its inhabitants into our awareness.
And once again we return to the intention:
“I direct this energy (of Reiki) to heal and reconcile Planet Earth and all its inhabitants.”
17. The Essence of Blue Earth and Earth Peace Reiki
The living practice of Blue Earth and the developing vision of Earth Peace Reiki meet in one fundamental realization:
We do not practice Reiki to reconnect with the Earth because, at the deepest level, we were never truly disconnected. We practice to heal the experience of separation, discover Peace within, reconcile our relationship with all life, and consciously live the Unity that was always there.
This leads to a simple understanding:
Reconciliation does not create Unity. Reconciliation helps us remember it.
Healing heals the wound of separation.
Peace creates the space to remember.
Reconciliation restores conscious relationship.
Conscious Unity is the realization:
We were never truly separate.
Blue Earth gives this vision a living practice.
Earth Peace Reiki gives the practice a developing language and framework.
RayChiCALLS™️ places it within a wider movement:
Conscious Awareness Live Life Silence.
And Marta Getty's original intention continues to stand at the centre:
“I direct this energy (of Reiki) to heal and reconcile Planet Earth and all its inhabitants.”
We cannot determine what the world must become.
We cannot determine what Reiki must do.
But we can practice.
We can become present.
We can allow Healing and Peace to begin within our own hearts.
We can meet life anew through Reconciliation.
And together, while remaining fully ourselves, we can remember that we are inhabitants of one Blue Earth.
Many individuals. One Planet. One living Whole.
